Follow me multiplication games: 2,5 and 10 times tables resource

Designed for upper Key stage 1 and lower Key stage 2 children, this set of follow me multiplication games helps children to practice recall of the 2,5 or 10 times tables.

Each sheet of cards needs to be printed and cut up into a set. It may be helpful to use three different colours so they are easy to identify, collect in and keep for use next time. 

There are 13 answers/questions in each set/game. Each child is given a card, choose one child to start by reading the question in their card. The follow me game will continue until the loop ends with the child starting the game, ending the game.

How to use this resource

This activity can be used as a whole class activity - one card between two children or children can work in groups, each focusing upon a different multiplication table. 'Greater depth' children may have more than 1 card, 'Working towards' children can work with a partner or use a multiplication square to help.

You may find using a stopwatch can help increase a sense of competition and keep children on task. Ask children if they can beat their previous time. For this activity, each child should record their time and try to improve on this next time they play.
